I said that a lot this past weekend when taking pictures of the cute Moffatt kiddos. It worked too! What a special gift I had to spend time with my good friends on their last stop in the U.S. before moving to Sydney. We had to laugh at the gem of a hotel they found in the seedy Tenderloin, right next to Union Square. But after living in NYC for the past 3 years, that was nothin.
Highlights were taking a drive across the Golden Gate Bridge to Muir Overlook with an unobstructed and clear view of the ocean and the Marin Headlands…
Then we explored Muir Woods and the Redwood Forest. Laurel’s one request was to touch a redwood before she left the States. It was quite comical trying to keep the kids from screaming and running with glee when we got to the Cathedral of Trees where everyone was supposed to be “silent and listen to the heartbeat of the trees” or whatever that means. Good thing I brought some trail mix.
On our last night we enjoyed the beautiful views of the Golden Gate Bridge. Now they’ll be living right next to the Sydney Harbor Bridge. I can’t wait to go visit them again!
