MLK

I feel special, because I got to hang out with MLK – Martha L. (Kidney) Holt – on MLK weekend. I took her on a grand tour of some of my favorite things in San Francisco. Kind of weird to say that I have favorites now. I guess that means I’ve passed the one-year mark!

We enjoyed Cuban food in the Mission, followed by salted-caramel ice cream at Bi-Rite Creamery (just one bite and you will have a life-changing experience), hiked along the Land’s End Trail, lunch on Chestnut Street, dinner at Nick’s Crispy Tacos on Polk, followed by my favorite breakfast at Le Boulangerie on Fillmore. Good times.

palaceHere we are in front of the Palace of Fine Arts. We did a lot of city walking and we had some chauffered trips on the Muni. (I guess everyone else was out of town? Twice, we were the only ones on the bus. Martha thought I must be lying about being squeezed like a sardine on my morning ride downtown.)

honeyAnd, here’s Carl with the ladies.. or should I say “honey”?
